STAFF BIOGRAPHIES

Sean McGrath - General Manager; smcgrath@centurioncenter.com
Sean has over 17 years in the hospitality industry. He joined the Centurion Conference & Event Center in 1999 after 2 years as Director of Catering & Conference Event Services with the Westin in Ottawa. Sean has held senior positions in the hospitality industry, including three years with Delta Hotels, four with the Chimo Hotel and four years with Holiday Inns. During his years in the industry Sean has worked to define and deliver business and social event services for a variety of clients of up to 10,000 persons.

Alan Patton - Assistant General Manager; apatton@centurioncenter.com
Alan has an extensive background in catering and banquet services. He honed his skills over 12 years with several hotels in the Delta chain and 2 years with the Westin in Ottawa. He joined the Centurion Conference & Event Center in 1999. He lends his expertise to managing and directing all aspects of operations at the Centurion Center.

Fouad El-Jadayel – Executive Chef; chef.fouad@centurioncenter.com
Fouad El-Jadayel joined the Centurion Conference & Event Center in April of 2003. He graduated from a three-year full-time Hotel Management program in Beruit. Fouad joined The Westin Ottawa in 1991, where he completed the Westin Hotels and Resorts Apprenticeship Program and worked his way up to the position of Chef de Partie. Following his work with The Weston Ottawa, Fouad continued his growth by accepting the role of Executive Chef at the Minto Suites Hotel in Ottawa from 2000 to 2003.
Fouad’s culinary expertise through the hotel industry has a strong Mediterranean influence. His many years of experience and vast knowledge in international cuisine allows him to create menus to accommodate customers of all ethnic backgrounds. He takes great pride to offer only first-class products. His creativity adds the final touch to the presentation for perfect meals and very satisfied guests.

Janell Hartley - Corporate Sales Manager; jhartley@centurioncenter.com
Janell brings an extensive background in sales and marketing, as well as tradeshow and event management to her position at the Centurion. She spent 3 years participating in the launch of the Ottawa Branch of a National exhibit manufacturer and prior to that she had a successful career in Real Estate in Vancouver. She has also worked in Calgary and Toronto in different sales capacities. She joined the Centurion Team in 2000 and is currently responsible for developing and maintaining corporate business relationships.

Sherry Milks - Sales Manager; smilks@centurioncenter.com
With over 15 years of service in the hospitality industry, Sherry brings a wealth of experience in corporate event planning. She spent 7 years with the Crowne Plaza, Ottawa (formerly the Citadel Hotel) before joining the Centurion Conference & Event Center in 1999.

Kim Le Sage Le Blanc; kimll@centurioncenter.com
Kim has over 13 years experience in Event Operations and Management. She joined the staff in 2003 after 6 years with The Monterey Inn. She coordinates the events for the Centurion Conference and Event Center with a specific focus on Weddings and Social Events.

Andrea Hunter, Meeting and Special Events Coordinator; ahunter@centurioncenter.com
Andrea joined the banquet team of the Centurion Center in 2004. In 2005, she was promoted to Meeting and Special Events Coordinator to help expand the business in the area of sales. Andrea has 14 years of sales and management experience in the retail market. She brings extensive customer service training and knowledge to the position.

Amanuel Tukku – Banquet Manager;
Amanuel has been with the Centurion Conference & Event Center since 1998. He started as a Banquet Server and quickly developed his skills to lead him to his current position of Banquet Manager.
Amanuel oversees all aspects of the events including managing approximately 40 employees and dealing directly with the on-site organizers. Amanuel also works closely with the Chef’s team to ensure a quality product and service.

Rocco Vizzari – Executive Sous-Chef
Rocco joined the Centurion Conference & Event Center in February of 2005 as Executive Sous-Chef.
His culinary expertise is internationally varied with a strong Italian background. He owned and managed the Expresso Café in Les Suites Hotel for 7 years, was Executive Chef for 8 years at Salla San Marco Banquet Hall and worked 7 years at the Westin Hotel in Ottawa.
